United Kingdom — Be Ready
The Cabinet Office launched the Be Ready campaign on 22 October 2026. Households are encouraged to take small, simple steps for temporary disruption — not to clear the shelves.
The UK just asked every household to do this: keep bottled water for 3 days (3 L per person per day for drinking), food you already eat, a torch, radio, power bank, cash, and meds. One calm cupboard check covers most of it.
